Unfortunately we are not accepting unsolicited manuscripts at this present time.

Illustrations

We accept unsolicited illustrations along the following guidelines:

Illustrations should be photocopied, ideally in colour. We do not advise that anyone send in originals at this stage.

Please enclose a brief covering letter, and a stamped, self-addressed envelope for the return of samples. We are only able to return samples to UK addresses. If you are resident outside the UK, please include an email address with your submission for our reply.

Please note that we are unable to reply to submissions if no return postage is enclosed. We receive many submissions each week. We aim to get back to you in three months, so please be patient. Unfortunately, we are unable to enter in to correspondence about work we do not accept for publication.

Please note that every reasonable care is taken of the manuscripts and samples we receive, but we cannot accept responsibility for any loss or damage thereto.

Tips for Illustrators

Caterpillar Books publishes novelty books for the 0-5 age group. Before sending in your illustration samples, please take some time to look though our catalogue and consider whether your artwork is suitable for this age group and for the Caterpillar Books list.
